Principal's Message

Welcome to Homewood Elementary School! Whether you're a returning family or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to have you as part of the Eagle community.

I'm Allyson Larrimore, and I'm proud to serve as the principal here at Homewood Elementary School. I have been an educator in both the Horry County School system and the Florence District One School system for 28 years where I’ve had the privilege of working with multiple different grade levels as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and now a principal here at Homewood. I graduated from Francis Marion University with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. I earned a master's degree from Lesley University in Instructional Technology in 2003 and Educational Leadership from Coastal Carolina in 2017. This is currently my third year as principal at Homewood Elementary, and I absolutely love the Homewood School and community!

Homewood Elementary is a CD–5 elementary school with a tradition of excellence. Our mission is to create a supportive and engaging environment where all students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe in high expectations and standards for our students, and our staff and working with our school community as we strive to prepare students for success in the rest of their time in school, and beyond.

This year, our focus is on “We Before Me” and on helping students in building strong relationships and learning to collaborate with one another to achieve success. We’re committed to strengthening our school culture and showing just how much we can accomplish when we all work together. Our faculty and staff are excited to support our wonderful students and to create memories that will last a lifetime.

We know that student success is best achieved through strong partnerships between home, school, and the community. We invite you to join us at events, volunteer, and to stay connected and take an active part in your child’s education. Your voice matters, and we’re here to work together to ensure every student thrives.
